The Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) Division offers a unique program that allows students to benefit from a curriculum using knowledge acquired in traditional and non-traditional formats to propel them to reach their ultimate professional and educational goals.

In the Division students can earn a Bachelor of Arts in education studies or kinesiology. Additionally, the division provides academic and support services for students affiliated with , articulation agreements, certificate programs, and dual enrollment.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

A series of activities were engaged to develop the 2024-2029 Strategic Plan for the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies. In addition to extensive research which entailed examining past and present data, identifying external and internal influences, and conducting sessions with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, we also spoke with some experts in various disciplines. The activities aided the Division in reviewing its mission and in formulating strategic priorities, goals and objectives for 2024-2029.

Meet the Dean

Since 2001, Dr. Hutto has enjoyed working collaboratively with other Morehouse faculty to recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified students and prepare them for relevant research and graduate studies, ultimately leading to professional careers in physical education, human performance, and allied health. To this end, he co-founded the James P. Haines Society Majors Club at Morehouse, which has helped supplement and strengthen the department窶冱 curriculum for over two decades.
